why this restaurant is recommended in the Michelin Guide - I do not know, as this should include service as well. We were 4 people, and ordered bread with oil for starter, way too little oil for 4 people, bread was very good though. then we ordered mains with french fries as a side dish. As one of us was vegetarian and there were hardly any meals for vegetarians, he ordered fries and pimentos. After a while two mains and the pimentos came, without any side dishes. after another 20 minutes the waitress came and said they were sorry but they could not serve french fries, even though we saw people who ordered after us with burger and fries. They tried to reason that this was a package, burger and fries, fries alone was not possible at the moment. So our friend literally had pimentos, two had mains and no side dish and the forth person still had nothing. This was about an hour after ordering. After some further discussion they finally brought fries and the last main course, after more than an hour of waiting. Probably the worst service I have seen in a restaurant ever. Still not sure why we had to fight so hard for the fries, restaurant not trying to find a solution, not a restaurant I would ever go to again. Even though they apologized several times in the end, we left disappointed, especially because the food was expensive for Spanish price range. The food was...

However, beware when you order cheluton de vaca.
I ordered the chuleton de vaca. Price is 80€/kg. I asked for the size of the piece before ordering. I’ve been told that the piece was around 400-500g. I accepted it and when it arrived it was actually a 1kg piece. Twice the size of what I’ve been told. I did not complained and enjoyed the piece even though I was unable to finish it. (I don’t want to waste meat, especially when it was this good)
We asked for the bill and then I see a 1.2kg piece being charged. It got me mad. Waitress was new and made a mistake. Fine by me. But being lied to about the final size of the piece is unacceptable. Drinks have been offered (~15€) as a compensation (after arguing…). That’s a bit small in comparison of the 56€ I’ve been over charged for the mistake the restaurant made.
Ultimately, what pushes me to review it and share is mostly the lack of business awareness. When I came to complain, the chief was already aware of the mistake. It looks like they were expecting me to accept the situation and pay. I would have appreciated :
We had dinner at Tragatá on Sunday night. Service was ok, if on the slow side, although it was a busy evening in the restaurant. The food was ok, really nothing to shout about, and definitely not worth the prices. As others noted, you pay for the name, not the food. Both my starter and my main were cold when they arrived. Both tasted ok, but I really didn't expect the grilled sea bream to be cold at the first bite. I don't know if this is how grilled fish is served in Southern Spain, but I certainly have never had it like this in any other country before. On the other hand, my partner had the grilled Iberian pork, which was nice, tender, and hot (and came with a few roasted potatoes). We had way better meals in other bars, tavernas, and restaurants in Ronda and elsewhere in the regions at a fraction of the cost. Prices seemed to be in line more with London and the UK than with small regional towns in Southern Spain, regardless of how touristy the place is. €6.50 for medium-sized portion of fries, €28 for the sea bream that came with nothing but some grean bean sauce, and then for it to be cold.... Suffice to say, I was left feeling very disappointed by...
